Lewis F. Mayer Middle School averages an enrollment of 250 seventh and eighth grade students. Students are able to participate in a number of academic and extracurricular functions.
The music department provides band, choir and orchestra. Performances and concerts are held throughout the school year at the Frank W. Barr Auditorium at Fairview High School (4507 West 213th St.).
Recent technology and facility upgrades provide students with the tools to learn in a growing 21st-century society.
Lewis F. Mayer Middle School was originally built in 1954. Lewis F. Mayer was a humanitarian of Fairview Park, an educator, principal and the first superintendent of FPCS, serving from 1921-1964.
Athletic programs include: boys/girls basketball, boys/girls cross country, girls fast-pitched softball, football, boys/girls track and field, volleyball and wrestling.
